Environmental Control Systems has developed a Coal Dust Suppression System to combat the hazard of airborne coal dust in the underground mining environment.

Following contact from several of the world’s largest coal miners, ECS have developed a system to reduce the exposure to coal mine employees of the hazard Airborne Coal Dust.

Coal Dust Suppression System Units can be installed on Longwalls, Continuous Miner Panels and also Transfer Points along the mine’s Conveyor System - anywhere that coal dust is produced a unit can be installed.

Recent research has shown foam being far more effective at suppressing coal dust:
